So, lately, since I've been back in S.C., I have been paying close attention to the local newspaper. To my dismay I have seen more racism in the last week than I have seen in the last 5 years! I am unbelievably amazed at how openly people can hate one another. More often than not, it is portrayed as being "normal" or "acceptable". I understand it's a traditional way of thinking but I don't understand how or why this traditional thinking can continue in 2009!
If you are causing harm to someone (physically, emotionally, or in any way) then what you are doing is wrong. There is no grey area here!
How hard of a concept is that to understand??
