That's so "Gay"!

Right now, I'm sitting here, choked up. It's been 2-3 days since I heard the news and my heart is still breaking. For the 2nd time in a month an 11 year old boy has committed suicide because he was bullied with anti-gay slurs.

This has GOT TO STOP! We as a society should have a 0 tolerance policy toward homophobia hate speech to continue. Please watch the video below, and if when you are done, you have had enough too, please forward this to your friends. Maybe we can help others understand why it's not ok to run around calling one another "Gay" in a derogatory sense. This is becoming an epidemic and I guarantee you, this isn't the end of it.

If you want to help, the easiest way is to promote tolerance. When you hear someone say "This is so gay" Don't hesitate to tell them about Jaheem. He didn't deserve to die leaving his poor mother without being able to watch him grow up.

Also, if you have a blog, please share this message, if you don't tweet on twitter, status it on myspace/facebook, whatever you have to do. Just don't let this young man's life/death be in vain.
