Remembering Trevor

This is Trevor Butler...

It's been a little over a year since Trevor died in a car accident. I've thought about him a lot over the last couple of weeks. We weren't that close. Only occasional conversations here and there through out the years. Our lives always intersected though, for brief moments and then we'd be on our marry way.

I could never say anything bad about Trevor. We became actual friends due to his best friend...his sister. She and I were friends and so I ended up becoming friends with this awesome soul.

We were supposed to go to our high school reunion. I was actually looking forward to seeing him. I had some stuff I wanted to talk to him about regarding music. Then the news hit like a ton of bricks. Another star had just fallen out of the sky.

This world has no idea what it lost I never even got to understand the depth and intensity, but I knew it was there.

So today I'm going to take a moment to remember Trevor and wish him and his family well.

Lots of Love!

Bottom of the Hudson Bassist Killed in Tour Van Crash
Drummer in critical condition

Bottom of the Hudson's summer tour ended tragically yesterday (July 29) as a van carrying members of the band careened off I-40 in central North Carolina following a blowout. According to a report in The Fayetteville Observer, 28-year-old Trevor Butler-- BOTH's bassist-- was killed in the accident, while driver and bandmate William Chesterton Chambers and other passengers were injured.

Butler, reportedly the only vehicle occupant not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the van as it rolled over several times. Newly recruited drummer Greg Lytle also suffered severe injuries; he was flown to Chapel Hill for emergency treatment and is presently in critical condition.

Bottom of the Hudson had just wrapped up a string of dates in support of their latest release, Fantastic Hawk, which came out on Absolutely Kosher earlier this month.
